To take out RentCover Ultra, the property must be a standard residential home (not a hostel, shipping container, motel, etc.).

RentCover Ultra only offers cover for properties that are professionally managed by real estate professionals.

To take out RentCover Ultra, the landlord must not live in the property.

RentCover Ultra is designed for apartments, units, townhouses and villas where the building is already covered by body-corporate or strata insurance, or standalone homes where the building is insured elsewhere. It does not include cover for building. So, if the property needs cover for building, RentCover Ultra is not a suitable product. However, RentCover Platinum may be of interest.

A rental agreement for long-term tenants must (or will soon) be in place to take out this policy. NOTE: For homes with separately keyed living spaces, like duplexes and dual keyed homes, there needs to be one lease per separately rented living space.

RentCover ShortTerm (contents only) is designed for properties rented out for less than six months at a time, including holiday homes, Airbnb accommodation and serviced apartments. If your property is rented out for longer periods, RentCover ShortTerm (contents only) is not a suitable product. However, RentCover Ultra may be of interest.
